Dear UNC Faculty and Students,
Thank you SO Much for being willing to fit in time to work with our musicians into your busy schedules.
Below are the pieces and recordings of the music that we are working on this quarter (I will bring scores with me on Friday). -I have taken the liberty of including some notes next to each file detailing what needs the most work.
Again, Thank You!

"Salvation is Created," is the piece that we have not worked on as frequently. -Therefore, you can start with this piece! Because this piece fits into a more modern genre, students need help with expressive phrasing and use of dynamics within those phrases. Any thoughts you have regarding alternate fingerings to aid with tone and/or timbre issues are welcome!

In "Symphony No. 15 in G Major- IV. Finale 'Presto'," our instrumentalists need to focus on consistency of articulations and intonation. Our musicians also need to focus on using chamber music techniques in order to perform this without a conductor.
On a more specific note, bass players need reminders on using efficient fingerings that are effective and accurate. |
